Children aged 5 and over are welcome to come along for an educational and fun day at Whitelee Wind Farm.

Children will get a tour of the wind farm, and learn about the land and the wildlife that inhabits the area. They will also learn the mechanics of how wind turbines work, and get the opportunity to stand underneath one of the turbines. 

Next, the children will learn how to make their own hot air ballon by being taught the ways in which wind and air can be manipulated to attain great heights. There will be a competition to see which hot air ballon goes the highest, and everyone will get the chance to take their creations home to play with and use again. 

Costs of the day include transport.
