Bike Maintenance and Road Safety Skills
 18th September 2015  |  Views: 30841

Join us on these excellent, informative and hands-on workshops with fully qualified cycle ride leaders! This Saturday 19th September.

•Road Safety 11am-1pm
•Bike Maintenance 1pm-3pm

Road Safety:
We will be hosting our first  workshop from 11am-1pm teaching participants road safety, visibility on the road and the basics of the cycling highway code. We aim to give you the confidence to cycle on roads and hope to see you start feeling more comfortable cycling in dense urban environments. The training will take place on a quiet, secluded road and towards the end we will lead you on a short ride in busier areas in the West End to put your knowledge into practice.

Bike Maintenance:
Our second workshop will run from 1pm-3pm and we will teach you the basic skills needed to maintain your bike, including: the classic M-check, how to clean your bike, how to fix a puncture, how to change a tyre and much more. This will be a very hands on workshop so you will likely be getting your hands dirty! Bring along your own bike (if you have one) to make better use of the workshop.
